first_img1 Benik Afobe Wolves have confirmed Benik Afobe will not be leaving the club this summer – despite reported interest from Norwich City.The former Arsenal striker has been linked with a move to the Premier League after scoring 32 goals for MK Dons and Wolves last term.Afobe, 22, has also hit two goals in his opening three games this season, raising speculation he could be on the move to a top-flight club.But in a statement released today, the Championship club said: “Neither Benik nor any of Wolves’ first team forward players will be sold this season.“Benik has developed into a player of key importance to Wolves and the club’s plans for this campaign.“Wolves have previously resisted the opportunity to sell other key first-team players in this and other recent transfer windows.“As far as the club is concerned there is no need for any further comments or speculation about this issue.”last_img
