In that sense, we organized a performance at the specialized fair Termalies, during which we presented to the French public all important information related to the offer, regulation and coverage of services in Croatia by French health insurance and prices that are lower for certain health services than in France”, said director Staničić, adding that France is one of the most developed European markets when it comes to health tourism.During the four days, the fair was visited by more than 35.000 visitors who were introduced to numerous European and world spas specializing in thermal and / or sea water treatment, but also for treatment and rehabilitation with mineral waters and sludge in natural spas. Numerous workshops were held as part of the fair, and Croatia presented itself to numerous visitors through a conference “Croatia, a new attractive European destination for health tourism and good physical and spiritual shape”. Namely, 12 percent of the population practices various forms of health, ie thermal, thalasso and spa tourism every 3 to 6 months. Considering the fact of a large number of those who practice forms of health tourism, the great potential that Croatia, along with other comparative advantages, has in the French emitting market is evident. That is why this fair was an exceptional opportunity to present the tourist offer of Croatia, for which there is interest throughout the year”, Said Mihalić-Đurica.During 2017, more than 540.000 arrivals of French tourists were realized in Croatia, which is an increase of 9 percent and a record 2,1 million overnight stays, which is an increase of 5 percent compared to 2016.Source: CNTBlast_img
